PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress fundamental wave oscillation, without affecting the higher harmonic oscillations, in an oscillator which uses higher harmonic waves. SOLUTION: In a piezoelectric oscillator utilizing the thickness longitudinal third harmonic vibration, which is provided with oscillating electrodes at both main faces of a piezoelectric board, resin of 2H in pencil hardness is attached to both ends of the piezoelectric board.
