PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method for a liquid crystal display device wherein CF on TFT substrate is used and both the decrease in weight and the reduction in thickness can be satisfied. CONSTITUTION: In a manufacturing process until a counter substrate 200 is completed as a counter substrate of a liquid crystal panel, the counter substrate is manufactured in a state in which a glass substrate is stuck to a plastic substrate 201 as a supporting substrate of the plastic substrate 201 during the process from a stage for forming a common electrode 212 on the plastic substrate 201 to the stage prior to a stage for cutting and separating two substrates into liquid crystal panel units.
