PURPOSE: A attendee authentication method is provided to store a face image of a attendee at a database, to periodically capture a face image of the attendee if the attendee attends at an online lecture, and to compare the captured image with the stored one so that it can enhance a fidelity of the attendee and a reliability of the online lecture. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of an image data registration module storing image data of a attendee at an image management database(S1), a attendee accessing an online lecture server and receiving an interactive online lecture service(S2), an image capture module periodically capturing real time image data of the attendee taken by a PC camera installed at a user terminal(S3), an image comparison module comparing the captured image with the registered image(S4), the image comparison module determining if the captured image is identical to the registered one and the attendee normally receives the online lecture(S5), and the image comparison module transmitting the comparison result to an online lecture server in real time during the online lecture or at a time after the online lecture being finished(S6).
