A fiber-forming polyamide composition including a combination of a fiber-forming polyamide with a concentrate having one or more sulfonated reagents in a thermoplastic carrier resin. Fibers formed from the composition demonstrate enhanced stain and soil resistance. The concentrate preferably comprises an alkali metal salt of 5-sulfoisophthalic acid, preferably carried in a matrix comprising one or more thermoplastic polyesters or polyamides.
