This invention provides a stapler cartridge that can check the positional offset of the staple with regard to the driving position within a tolerable range to check stapler apparatus binding problems even when the return stopper pawl for stopping the staple is riding on the staple surface. In a staple cartridge comprising the return stopper pawl (105) to prevent the return of the staple back into the staple storage portion (102) with the staple linking portion (105d) that link staples together on the stable band (101) drawn out form the storage unit (102), the return stopper pawl (105) is provided a plurality of staple abutting portions (105a) and (105b) front and back along the draw out direction of the stable band (101) in gaps where they do not abut the staple linking portion (105d) thereby increasing the rate to abut the staple linking portion (105d) by the plurality of staple abutting portions (105a) and (105b). Also, in the worst case, if all of the stopper portions ride up onto the surface of the staples, it is simple to hold that down to within a tolerance range without causing mis-positioning corresponding to the surface of the staple as in the past.
