The device has a mechanical and a hydrostatic branch, summed-up in a coupled gear. This consists of four planetary gear sets with couplings (37-41), and switching elements. The first gear set (12) has a standing transmission of approx. 3,0; that of the second set (15) is approx.2,8; of the third set (19) is approx. 3,8; and that of the fourth set (23) is approx. 3,8. The hydrostatic branch consists of a pump (6) with a volume of almost 40ccm/RPM, and a motor (7) with almost 40ccm/RPM.
