A mixture including polyvinylbutyral, a dicarboxylic acid ester from a 4-9C aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and an alkylene glycol monomer, or a polysulfide and a dicarboxylic acid ester from an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and an alkylene monomer is new. Independent claims are included for: (1) an object containing the mixture comprising a housing for an electrical apparatus, pipeline, device, cable, wire covering, window profile, floor covering, medical article, toy, food package, seal, sealing composition for insulating glass (sic), laminated film, record, artificial leather, packaging container, adhesive tape, clothing, coating, or a textile fiber; (2) other synthetic plastics selected from: homo- and copolymers based on ethylene, propylene, butadiene, vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate, glycidyl (meth)acrylate, (meth)acrylates with alcohol components of optionally branched 1-10C alcohols, styrene,or acrylonitrile.
