APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR RECOVERING SODIUM FROM WASTE SODIUM CONTAINING SODIUM OXIDES

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method are provided which recover sodium by separating liquid or solid phase pure sodium from waste sodium containing sodium oxides using physical characteristics in which phase transformation is occurred according to temperature of sodium. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for recovering sodium from waste sodium containing sodium oxides comprises a waste sodium storage tank(200) comprising a heating means installed between a cylindrical outer wall(211) and a storage tank, pipes which are consisted of first pressing pipe(702), an exhaust pipe(706) and a waste sodium inlet pipe(712) and mounted on the upper part of the storage tank, and a discharge pipe(714); an evaporator(100) comprising a cylindrical evaporation tank(110), a cylindrical outer wall(111), a heater(112), and an exhaust pipe(712); a pure sodium storage tank(300) comprising a cylindrical storage tank(310), a cylindrical outer wall(311), a heater(312), and pipes which are consisted of an exhaust pipe(709), a pure sodium supply pipe(713) and a second pressing pipe(715) and mounted on the upper part of the storage tank(310); a collector(120) comprising a cooling coil to one side of which a cooling gas inlet pipe(703) is connected, and to the other side of which a cooling gas releasing pipe(707) is connected, and a collection fan comprising a discharge port; a pipe comprising a waste sodium supply pipe(704), a discharge pipe(705) comprising a discharge valve(503), and a transfer pipe(708) comprising a transfer valve(505); and a cooling gas tank(400) which supplies high pressure gas into the pressing pipes(702,715) and is connected to a cooling gas supply pipe(701) comprising a main valve(501).
