<p>An image forming device comprising a plurality of image forming units for electrostatically depositing a developing agent on image carriers to form visual images and being detachable up to a specified maximum number of units, a primary transfer unit for electrostatically transferring images from image forming units onto an intermediate transfer belt, and a secondary transfer unit for transferring the visual images transferred onto the belt-like transfer member onto form paper. A control unit detects the mounted conditions of plurality of image forming units and toner colors used, and print-controls one or a plurality of image forming units, if mounted up to a maximum number of units.</p> |
