<p>The invention relates to a mirror and mirror support plate assembly for external rearview mirrors in automobiles. The mirror and mirror support plate assembly can be used in external rearview mirrors consisting of a housing which is designed to receive the assembly and a mechanism for positioning said mirror support plate. The housing can be coupled to a support affixed to the body of the vehicle. The assembly comprises a first layer (2) made of an electrically insulating material and a second layer (3) made of an adhesive material, which are arranged between the inner face (5) of the mirror (1) and the mirror support plate (4). The first layer (2) is located between the inner face (5) of the mirror (1) and the second layer (3). The assembly is provided with a heating device (6, 7) that is arranged between the inner face (5) of the mirror (1) and the first layer (2) made of electrically insulating material.</p> |
