The device has an engine-driven feed pump connected to a collecting chamber and filter, overpressure and pressure regulating valves. The regulating valve return is connected to the inlet of a return valve whose return is connected before the pump suction side. The return valve response pressure corresponds to a feed pressure that still guarantees the lubricant pressure in the supply or distribution channel for a permitted filter pressure drop. The device has a feed pump (1) driven by the internal combustion engine connected to a collecting chamber and filter, an overpressure valve and a pressure regulating valve (6) for determining the lubricant pressure with its inlet and control connection connected to a feed or distribution channel (8). The regulating valve return is connected to the inlet of a return valve (5) whose return is connected before the suction side of the pump. The return valve response pressure corresponds to a feed pressure that still guarantees the lubricant pressure in the supply or distribution channel for a permitted pressure drop in the filter.
