DEVELOPERS FOR THERMAL RECORDING MATERIALS AND THERMAL RECORDING MATERIALS

The invention aims at providing novel developers which satisfy the recent demand for higher sensitivity and can realize thermal recording materials excellent in storage stability (i.e., heat resistance and moisture resistance) of developed images and non−image area, and thermal recording materials produced by using the same. The developers are characterized by consisting of a composition comprising a binuclear condensate represented by the general formula (I) wherein n is 0 as the main component and at least one condensate represented by the general formula (I) wherein n is 1 to 3: (I) [wherein R is halogeno, hydroxyl, C1−5 alkyl, C1−5 alkoxy, cyano, nitro, aryl, or aralkyl, with the proviso that mR’s may be the same or different from each another; m is an integer of 0 to 3; and n is an integer of 0 to 3]. The thermal recording materials produced by using the developers have high sensitivity, high dynamic coloring density, and excellent storage stability.
