PURPOSE: To provide an interline rod capable of smoothly bending also when a fish is caught and excellent in so called condition of the rod. CONSTITUTION: A base rod 1 of the interline rod has a first wall thickness part X being a tapered off cylindrical member and forming a definite range in axial direction in thick wall thickness, compared with the peripheral part, a second wall thickness part Y formed on rod base side of the first wall thickness part X and forming a definite range in axial direction in thick wall thickness and a third wall thickness part Z formed on the ear tip side of the first wall thickness part Y and forming a definite range in axial direction in thick wall thickness. A fishline introducing port is formed in the first wall thickness part X. A fishline introducing guide 10 is each fixed on the second wall thickness part Y and the third wall thickness part Z.
