PURPOSE: A freshness preservation method for watermelon is provided by making a transparent molded hole and inserting a fixing cap after removing the top stem. Therefore, the moisture vaporization through the top stem during distribution of the watermelons can be prevented not to make freshness lost. CONSTITUTION: The structure of the device comprises the following steps of: a step of getting rid of the top stem to put an inserting area(11), separate the fixing cap(8), and remove inner substance, after marking down at the inserting area(11) around the top stem of the watermelon by using blade; and a step of inserting the fixing cap(8) into the molded hole(3) after removing the top stem to keep the freshness and check the ripeness through the transparent part(10).
