PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of paper conveyance and improve conveying accuracy of paper conveyance by controlling so that a predetermined section is passed in a predetermined time. SOLUTION: A timer counts time from a paper feeding start until a drawing sensor is turned ON. A speed determining means compares a time measured by the timer and a standard time and it determines rotational speed of a motor in response to their ratio. A conveyance control means notifies a start of counting (the paper feeding start) to the speed determining means and controls paper conveyance. The conveyance control means notifies the paper feeding start to the speed determining means when carrying out the first paper feeding control after opening and closing of a cassette. In other words, the rotational speed of the motor is changed in paper feeding action of a second sheet and onward.
