PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine the improvement of an air-conditioning feeling during the stop of an engine, and engine power by suppressing the excess and shortage of a cold storage quantity. SOLUTION: Time T1 required from the present point of time until the next vehicle stop time, and the vehicle stop time T2 from the next vehicle stop time until the time of restart are estimated during travel, and the cold discharge quantity Q required during the vehicle stop time T2 is computed on the basis of the estimated vehicle stop time T2. The operation of a cold storage mode is controlled to store cold only for the required cold discharge quantity Q within the required time T1. The excess and shortage of the cold storage quantity can thereby be suppressed to combine both the improvement of the air-conditioning feeling during the stop of an engine and power saving of engine power. Furthermore, since the required time T1 and vehicle stop time T2 are estimated on the basis of travel state information and signal information, the certainty of estimation can be improved in comparison with the conventional case based on only the vehicle speed.
