PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distortion compensation amplifier that can accurately compensate distortion with a simple circuit configuration. SOLUTION: The distortion compensation amplifier is provided with an amplifier circuit 3 an amplified output signal of which may include a distortion component, a 1st detection means 5 that detects the amplitude of an input signal, a 2nd detection means 6 that detects the amplitude of the output signal, and an amplitude control means 2 that is inserted to a pre-stage of the amplifier circuit and controls the amplitude of a signal introduced to the amplifier circuit so that the difference or ratio of the amplitudes detected by the 1st detection means and the 2nd detection means converges.
