PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set that can make a call or reception by using a telephone number contracted to a general telephone line in the case of wired-connection to the telephone line of its own home. SOLUTION: A wireless connection means 12 receives voice information sent to the portable telephone set 1 from a third party via a base station 2 and a detection means 14 detects the call. Then a connection means 15 connects the wireless connection means 12 to a voice communication means 11. On the other hand, when the voice information from the third party is sent to a telephone number of the general telephone line 3 contracted for its own home and received by a wired connection means 13 connected to the general telephone line 3, the detection means 14 detects the call in voice information. In this case, the connection means 15 interconnects the wired connection means 13 and the communication means 11 to bring them in a non-connection state.
