PURPOSE: A color cathode ray tube having an improved inner shield is provided to minimize a movement of electron beam and improve a margin of terrestrial magnetism by optimizing a structure of the inner shield for a color cathode ray tube. CONSTITUTION: Two ore more cutting portions are formed on a surface of a long side portion of an inner shied(10). The first cutting portion(14) is bent to the outside of the inner shield(10). The second cutting portion(16) is bent to the inside of the inner shield(10). The outside and the inside of the inner shield(10) are opened by the first and the second cutting portions(14,16). The inner shield(10) has the first open portion(13) of the first cutting portion(14) and the second open portion(15) of the second cutting portion(16). The second cutting portion(16) is formed with a shape of an arc having a constant curvature.
