<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet transfer controller, which can enhance memory utilizing efficiency in the controller, reduce the frequency of losing a packet, and reduce the frequency of aborting a high priority packet. SOLUTION: A packet transfer controller 1 comprises: an accumulation means 31, which accumulates received packets; a capacity catching means 21, which calculates capacity information for the accumulation means 31; an accumulation discriminating means 12, which discriminates whether the accumulation means can accumulates a newly received packet, on the basis of the capacity information; an abortion determining means, which determines a packet to be aborted; an abortion executing means, which aborts the packet; and an accumulation executing means, which transfers the newly received packet to the accumulation means.</p> |
