PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for registering a controlled apparatus to a controller without requiring any communication between them. SOLUTION: A user inputs the identification information of a home electric apparatus (controlled apparatus), i.e., name of the manufacturer, name of the home electric apparatus, and ID of the home electric apparatus, to a terminal 2 (remote controller). The terminal 2 transmits that identification information to a gateway server 3 from which the identification information is transmitted to a home server 4. The home server 4 receives and registers the identification information of the home electric apparatus.
