PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function for reporting, using a simple device configuration, a fault which occurs in multiplex transmission communication for multiplexing and transmitting the signals of a plurality of channels. SOLUTION: In the multiplex communication equipment for multiplexing and transmitting communication signals to be communicated via a multiplex transmission line by a plurality of channels, abnormality in the multiplex communication signal received via the multiplex transmission line is detected; and when such an abnormality is detected, the transmission of communication data to the transmitting destination of the communication signal is stopped, so that the occurrence of the fault on the multiplex transmission line is notified to the relevant destination. |
