PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker capable of maintaining a high tone pressure to a high tone range. SOLUTION: A piezoelectric speaker comprises a piezoelectric material 1 polarized in a thickness direction in a dome shape having an opening; a first electrode 12 formed on an inner surface of the element; and a second electrode 3 formed on an outer surface of the element, in such a manner that a non- formed part of the first or second electrode is provided on at least one of the inner and outer surfaces of the piezoelectric material, and the first and second electrodes are formed to have at least opposed parts on the inner and outer surfaces of the piezoelectric material. Accordingly, the piezoelectric material is partly driven by applying an external signal, and the tone pressure can be enhanced in the tone pressure in a frequency of a high tone range. Since an opposed electrode area is narrow and has a small capacity, its impedance is high, and a signal can be sufficiently boosted by a matching transformer, and the high tone range can be enlarged.
