PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for supplying a lead frame, being equipped with a means that can accurately detect whether the lead frame is held at a fixed position without abnormalities such as a shift in position and a tilt. SOLUTION: A lead frame supply apparatus 1, comprising a plurality of check pins 14, which are connected to a head base 2 and can go up by a force applied from its bottom end, and the bottom end of which is expected to pass through positioning holes 13 in a lead frame 10 when a chuck main body 3 is raised in a state in which the lead frame 10 is properly held between chuck members 6A and 6B. Whether the bottom end of the check pin 14 has passed through the positioning hole 13 in the lead frame 10 when the chuck main body 3 has been raised is detected by detecting whether the top end 15 of the check pin 14 is in a position raised by a force applied from its bottom end, using a pin position detection sensor 16.
