PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground wave digital broadcast receiver that automatically and continuously allows viewing a program even if the receiver comes out of a reception area of the program being viewed and to provide an information acquisition providing device. SOLUTION: In order to transmit local channel selection information by utilizing a road traffic information system, a radio wave beacon reception section 31, an optical beacon reception section 32 and an FM reception section 33 acquire channel selection information in an area where a vehicle is located, and the channel selection information is given to the ground wave digital broadcast receiver 30 via a car navigation system 35. When being deviated from the reception area during program viewing, the ground wave digital broadcast receiver 30 uses the channel selection information so as to execute the channel selection processing in a way of consecutively viewing the program having been viewed up to now.
