PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for preparing terminal operation statistical data utilizing online capable of preparing the operation statistics by grasping the operation situation of each job processing even in the case of performing a plurality of job processing by the same transaction name by a single online terminal. SOLUTION: The method/device includes a starting log output process for outputting a starting log when the online terminal is developed on various kinds of processing pictures, a finish log output process for outputting a finish log when returning to a main menu, a database log output process for outputting an object database key as a database log at the reference update of a database in the case of referring the database on the various kinds of processing pictures, and a storage process for storing a terminal log in a host computer as a terminal log file.
