PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat dissipating unit which is improved in air-cooling efficiency so as to drop the temperature of a device on a circuit board. SOLUTION: A projector is equipped with an air-cooling fan 4a which generates an air flow moving toward an exhaust vent 7a from an intake vent 6 in a case 5, a circuit board 3 which is provided in the case 5 and mounted with circuit parts including switching elements Q1 to Q5, and heat dissipating plates 10 and 11 thermally coupled with the switching elements Q1 to Q5. An air flow is made to pass through a space surrounded with the heat dissipating plates 10 and 11 with fins and an insulating member 12. An air flow is made to pass through a space where the circuit board 3 is surrounded with the insulating member 12.
