PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To block off a socket contact groove, with a shutter installed at a cover and the shutter comes down as a jump-in preventing mechanism in pushing down the cover, and guide so that an IC package enters into in the socket smoothly, and to prevent the jump-in of an IC reed into the socket contact groove. SOLUTION: In the IC socket which has the socket main body to possess plural numbers of contracts and to which the IC package is loaded, the jump-in preventing mechanism is installed at the cover, and the jump-in of the IC reed is prevented by covering the socket contact groove, in the loading of the IC package.
