PURPOSE:To reduce waiting time, to prevent offset trouble, and to enhance fixability of a toner image by using an encapsulated toner comprising a binder resin containing a polymer of a specified monomer and satisfying specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:The picture developed with the toner 29 is heat fixed to a recording material 28 by using a stationarily fixed heating body 20 and a press ing member 27 opposite to the body 20 and pressing the recording material 28 into close contact with the body 20 through the medium of an endless film 24, and the encapsulated toner comprising the binder resin containing the poly mer of at least one of aromatic vinyl monomers and acrylate monomers, and having the following characteristics; the melt viscosity measured by an elevated type flow tester is in the range of 10<3> - 10<5> poises at the 50% effluet point and an absolute gradient value of natural logarithms of viscosities eta' to temperatures {(ln poise)/ deg.C} of <=1.0 at the point, obtained by plotting the natu ral logarithms of viscosities eta' at the point to temperatures, thus permitting waiting time to be reduced, poor fixing and offset trouble to be prevented. |
