PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an initial cell search method to realize a circuit of a 3-stage cell search system and a circuit for an initial cell search. SOLUTION: The cell search circuit is provided with a matched filter MF and a sliding correlator section SC receiving a reception signal Sin, the matched filter MF conducts a correlation arithmetic operation between the received signal Sin and a 1st synchronous code PSC, a memory MEM1 stores its output Spsc and the output is processed by a timing detection section TDP. The sliding correlator section SC comprises sliding correlators SC1-SCz, and after the outputs A [1]-A [z] are stored by a memory MEM2, these are processed by a timing group specification section TG1. A final output or a midway output of the matched filter MF is outputted to a phase error detection section FC and a phase error is outputted to a frequency control section AFC. |
