A vehicle boot lid seal comprises a U-section metal core 10 completely enclosed by a rubber or plastics covering of e.g. P.V.C. or neoprene gripping by means of inwardly directed ribs 18, 19, a supporting flange 5 and a flexible rubber or plastics sealing strip 11 with a deflecting tongue 12 projecting above the U-section to make sealing engagement with the lid 4, the lower end of the sealing strip incorporating a tongue portion 17 making sealing engagement with a fixed part 7, constituting a drainage channel, of the flange 5. |
