A paper laminate comprises a translucent overlay sheet and a paper print sheet bonded together and impregnated with a thermosetting resin, decorative paper particles impregnated by the resin being dispersed in one of the sheets. The particles are suitably a paper base incompletely penetrated by an ink coating so as to leave sufficient area for penetration by the resin. The particles may be dispersed in the print sheet, which may also be pigmented or in one or more overlay sheets. |
