PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of accurately performing registration correction and of obtaining a high quality image. SOLUTION: The image forming device forms the image from photoreceptor drums on an intermediate transfer belt 31 which approaches a plurality of photoreceptor drums 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d, and is rotated. The device has a cleaner 50 for cleaning the intermediate transfer belt 31 after forming the image, and a second cleaning means for cleaning the intermediate transfer belt 31 corresponding to the state of the device.
