PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system enabling a visually handicapped person to easily and safely cross and pass through a pedestrian crossing. SOLUTION: This radio communication system comprises a traffic signal provided with the function of retrieving a cellular phone terminal existing in a communicable range from the own equipment and transmitting state information on the traffic signal, and the cellular phone terminal analyzing the state information to inform a user with voice.
