PURPOSE: A method for varying threshold value for determining pollution of outside air of vehicle is provided to make an air purification system ideally work according to sensitivity of a sensor and surrounding environment. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of: a relative pollution determining step(230,240,250) determining pollution to execute inside air mode if difference between current value of a gas sensor and one of values of the gas sensor previously inputted is over preset threshold value; an absolute pollution determining step(260,270,290,300) setting a plurality of values of the gas sensor inputted by the gas sensor as time passes as purity values, calculating moving average of the purity values to set as an absolute purity reference level and determining pollution to execute the inside air mode if the current value of the gas sensor is out of purity band width; and a threshold value varying step(280) calculating inside air rate up to the present time and varying the threshold value and the purity band width according to the inside air rate.
