PURPOSE: A method of processing a received call and a short message when a PDA is in a sleep mode in a portable terminal device combined with the PDA and a mobile communication terminal module is provided to transmit the received call or the short message to the PDA even when the PDA is in a sleep mode, thereby reducing unnecessary components. CONSTITUTION: A transmission signal group(120) transmits a command packet to a mobile communication terminal(100) from a PDA(110), and transmits a response packet to the PDA(110) from the mobile communication terminal(100), then transceives packets necessary for voice or data communication. An interrupt signal group(130) generates an interrupt in the PDA(110) even though the PDA(110) is in a sleep mode, when a call or an SMS is received in the mobile communication terminal(100), and wakes up the PDA(110). The mobile communication terminal(100) comprises as follows. A transmission device controller(101) controls a transmission signal. An interrupt controller(102) controls an interrupt signal. The PDA(110) is composed of a transmission device controller(111) for controlling a transmission signal and an interrupt controller(112) for controlling an interrupt signal.
