A device installation apparatus for installing a device while improving the convenience of the device. The apparatus includes a center console unit (200) in which a desired device such as a CD player, a cassette tape player, or a DVD player is installed and which serves as installation means and can be disposed between the driver’s seat (121) and the front passenger seat (122) of an automobile (100) or a moving body in a predetermined position corresponding to the seat of the automobile along a rail section (110). The center console unit (200) can be placed in the predetermined position only by a simple operation by an occupant in the automobile (100).
