The bottom part of the pipe arrangement (9) houses the combustion chamber (2) possessing water-cooled outer casing surfaces. A flue gas discharge pipe (3) protrudes from the combustion chamber . At right angles to the sealed combustion chamber is the lengthwise center axis (12) of the bottom boiler part. A burner (4) has a flame (5) which leads from the horizontal and meets the opposite facing end wall (14) from which it is deflected. The flame is drawn to a flue gas discharge pipe and meets the pipe arrangement and gives of its heat which enters the top o f the boiler.
