The angle adjustable headrest for a patient support has a support pad (1) which can be attached to a bed or a seat backrest via an adjuster. The headrest can be made of a fibre reinforced composite. The adjuster can have a ratchet engaging a toothed crown, or a clamp assembly. the headrest mounting is resistant to bending.
