[Also in Divisions D1 and F4] A resilient mounting for oscillating and spinner units of washing machines, centrifuges and the like comprises systems of levers 2, 2 disposed in vertical planes symmetrically about the centre of gravity of the unit 1. Each lever 2 has a fixed pivot axis 3 on the unit 1, a resilient block 4 such as rubber between it and the unit I and a resilient support 5 between it and the machine frame 6. Additional damping may be provided by increasing the friction at the pivots 3 by the use of high friction materials or by loading the bearing. The levers 2 may be bent so as to accommodate the pivots 3 in the same horizontal plane as the resilient members 4 and 5 or, alternatively, to accommodate the members 5 in the same horizontal plane as the centre of gravity of the unit 1. |
