A multi-layer safety label comprises a carrier based on a thermoplastic film with both sides printed with a printing ink, and layers on the underside. A multi-layer label comprises a carrier based on a thermoplastic film with both sides printed with a printing ink, and the following extra layers on the underside: (a) a not completely flat primer layer, where this layer is strongly anchored to the thermoplastic layer; (b) a completely flat layer on the primer layer and on the separation layer, where the separation layer is more firmly anchored onto the primer layer than onto the thermoplastic layer; (c) a completely flat contact adhesive layer applied to the separation layer, which is more firmly anchored to the separation layer than the separation layer is anchored to the thermoplastic film; and (d) optionally, a separation paper or a separation film on the contact adhesive.
