The procedure for the mounting of a pillow block (1) to support the rotor of a turbomachine entails casting concrete feet (6) onto a sole plate (10). The concrete feet are hardened, and next is mounted a prefabricated foundation cross support (4), consisting of concrete and already hardened, and with a steel layer (5) in the lower region, with an integrated bearing support point (3), and at least one oil connecting pipe (9). The cross support may be rigidly or spring mounted. An Independent claim is included for a pillow block to support the rotor of a turbomachine.
