PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for reducing image variation in an image forming apparatus which can eliminate the image variation. SOLUTION: There is disclosed an image forming apparatus that comprises a plurality of light sources, a main scanning mechanism and a sub-scanning mechanism and performs exposing of a photosensitive material to form an image. The light sources at the end sections ate disposed at the outsides of the positions obtained by an ideal pitch amount.
