ASSEMBLING OF STEERING COLUMN CLAMP AND STEERING GEAR OF AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for assembling a clamp (1) including a tightening and fixing assembly constituted of a lock nut (4) and a lock bolt (3) cooperated therewith to a shaft (2). SOLUTION: The lock nut (4) is arranged in one branch (12) of the clamp (1) and is provided with a radial projection. The lock bolt (3) is penetrated through the other branch (11) of the clamp (1) and the lock nut (4) is retained to a fixed position such that it is rotated and translated by a reverse rotation preventing elastic element (7) provided with an axial stop for previous positioning when the clamp is fitted. The reverse rotation preventing elastic element (7) is arranged such that the lock bolt (3) invalidates a rotation preventing function of the reverse rotation preventing elastic element (7) at the end of tightening. The lock nut (4) can fix the clamp (1) onto the shaft (2).
