PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer jacket unit for a screw press for preventing the deviation and the deformation of a screen caused by the frictional resistance of a cake. SOLUTION: By fitting reinforcing plates 21 fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the screen 19 into annular grooves 15 which are grooved on the inner circumferential surface of a semicylindrical outer jacket 14, force applied to the screen 19 in the carrying-out direction is balanced. Further, by placing the edges 20 of the screen 19 on the flanges 16 at both ends of the outer jacket 14, screwing and fixing the screen 19 to the flanges 16 of the outer jacket 14 with fixing screws inserted through a plurality of fixing plates, locking the tips of the set screws which are screwed to a plurality of press plates tothe edges 20 of the screen 19 and joining together a pair of the outer jackets 14, force in the circumferential direction added to the screen 19 is stopped and the deformation of the screen 19 is prevented.
