PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material in an optical recording medium having excellent light resistance and preservation stability applicable to a DVD-R disk system using a semiconductor laser having an oscillation wavelength in a shorter wavelength as compared with that of a conventional system and to provide the optical recording medium and an optical recorder which carries the optical recording medium. SOLUTION: The optical recording medium comprises at least a recording layer provided on a substrate and containing at least one type selected from the group consisting of an azo compound represented by formula (1), and an azo metal chelate compound made of a metal, a metal oxide or its salt. |
