PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser recording heat-sensitive recording medium having excellent laser recording suitability and ground color and excellent scanner readability of a recording image. SOLUTION: The laser recording heat-sensitive recording medium comprises a heat-sensitive recording layer containing an optical absorption material for absorbing at least a laser beam to convert the beam into a heat, an electron donative leuco dye and an electron acceptive developer on a support in such a manner that a difference of reflectivities of an image part and a ground color part when irradiating with a light having a wavelength of 600 nm or more is 60% or more.
