METHOD FOR LAP WELDING OF GALVANIZED STEEL PLATES WITH LASER BEAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for welding galvanized steel plates with a laser beam. SOLUTION: In the method for a lap welding of galvanized steel plates with laser beam, irregularities rough face is provided between the steel plates so as to continuously weld the steel plates at an arbitrary position of the steel plates by giving a surface in a shape of fine ruggedness covering the whole surface of the steel plates in order to decrease the vapor pressure of zinc which is generated in the laser welding to avoid a weld defect in the welding of lapped galvanized steel plates with the laser beam. Further, the method is for the laser welding in which the conditions of the surface in a shape of fine ruggedness and the uregularities space are specified. The welding is performed at an arbitrary position of the galvanized plates without specifying the position of welding.
