PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for metal lamination excellent in laminatability, formability, taste characteristics, and impact resistance and suitable for a metal container. SOLUTION: This polyester film is prepared by mixing (A) 30-80 wt.% polyester having a melting point of 246-270 deg.C and mainly comprising repeating ethylene terephthalate units with (B) 70-20 wt.% polyester mainly comprising repeating butylene terephthalate units. The amount of terminal COOH groups in the polyester film is lower than 35 mmol/kg.
