PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ink for ink jet recording devices having high ejection stability and storage stability and capable of obtaining a printed matter having excellent light resistance, an ink jet recording system, an ink jet recording device and an ink container, each using the ink. SOLUTION: This ink for ink jet recording devices comprises a coloring material, an organic solvent and a surfactant. In the ink for ink jet recording devices, when the ink is defined as ink A and an ink obtained by adding 0.5 pt. wt. TiO2 to the ink A is defined as ink B and light resistance test is carried out for printed matter printed by using both inks, an optical density OD value (A) of a printed matter by the ink A after the light resistance test and an optical density OD value (B) of a printed matter by ink B after the light resistance test satisfy a relationship represented by the formula: OD value (B)/OD value (A) >=1.05. The ink jet recording system, the ink jet recording device and the ink container each using the ink are employed. |
